Gal Gadot's Wonder
Woman was a ray of sunshine in a very dark and
dreary Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The next time we see her will be in
her standalone movie where she will be stepping into the world of man for the
very first time to fight in a war to end all wars. But who will her opponent
be?
Well,
the French magazine Studio Ciné Live (translated by French site Les Toiles Héroiques) recently did a piece on the anticipated movie, and according to it
Diana, the princess of the Amazons will wage war on Ares, the Greek God of War
and her half-brother.
"Behind these
scientific formulas, there is a deadly gas that could well annihilate humanity.
Now, it turns out that this is precisely the goal of Ares, the god of war. He
is jealous of humanity, which is a creation of his father, the deceased Zeus
(he was killed by Ares when he rebelled against him, with the help of the
Amazons)…"
Furthermore, the
French site also provides some additional details on Chris Pine's Steve Trevor
character.
"I
play a pilot who works for the Allies and spies on the Germans without their
knowledge. My character steals a notebook filled with scientific formulas in an
Ottoman base, he steals a plane but is shot down in the open sea."
Directed
by Patty Jenkins from a script by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman
also stars Connie
Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Saïd Taghmaoui,
Ewen Bremner, and Lucy Davis.
Wonder Woman opens in theaters on
June 2.
