Sony Pictures has acquired the film rights
to Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire's comic book miniseries A.D.: After Death.
The three-part series takes place in "a future
where a genetic cure for death has been found. Years after the discovery, one
man starts to question everything, leading him on a mind-bending journey that
will bring him face-to-face with his past and his own mortality."
Josh Bratman ("Priest," "Fright Night")
is set to produce the project, which reunites Lemire with Sony after the studio
picked up the rights to his sci-fi comic Descender in 2015, which Bratman will
also produce.
