Director James Mangold has shared via his official Twitter
account our very first look at Hugh Jackman in Logan, the highly anticipated Wolverine
sequel.
From the scars to the hair, Jackman bears a striking
resemblance to the character in the iconic Old Man Logan storyline, which saw a
broken and old Wolverine trying to survive with his family in a world ruled by
villains and fallen heroes.

What the film entails
is still a mystery, but according to rumors, Logan is also set in the not so
distant future (2024 to be precise), and sees Professor X's once powerful mind starting to fail him to the point that he
sometimes doesn't even recognize Wolverine, who alongside the mutant Caliban,
is now taking care of the old mentor. Meanwhile, while Wolverine and Caliban
take care of Xavier, a corporation called Transigen is turning young mutant
children into killing machines. Wolverine comes across one of these children,
who has a couple of Wolverine-like claws protruding from her hands, and vows to
take care of her.
Also
starring Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq La Salle,
Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Elise Neal, Logan opens in theaters on March 3, 2017.
