If you were wondering whether Doctor Strange was going to be dry and
serious, Marvel Studios has released a new television promo quelling those
concerns as it features something we had not yet seen in any of the previous
trailers, Marvel's brand of humor, as well as some new footage.
Marvel's Doctor Strange centers on a talented neurosurgeon called Stephen Strange who, after a tragic
car accident, must put his ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of
mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village,
Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies
beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to
protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Directed by Scott Derrickson
("Sinister"), Marvel's Doctor Strange stars Benedict
Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams,
Benedict Wong, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, Amy Landecker,
Benjamin Bratt, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Scott Adkins.
Marvel's Doctor Strange opens in
theaters on November 4.
