Ahead of its hour-long panel
at this year's New York Comic-Con, Summit Entertainment has decided to release
a first image for director Chad Stahelski's upcoming
John Wick: Chapter 2 and it looks like Keanu Reeves' Pit Bull rescue from
the end of the first film is also making a comeback.
In the sequel, Reeves reprises his role as legendary hitman John Wick,
who is forced out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control
of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him,
John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest
killers.
From
a script written by Derek Kolstad ("John Wick"), the new film also
stars Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Ruby Rose, Lance Reddick, Common,
Laurence Fishburne, David Patrick Kelly, Peter Stormare, Thomas Sadoski, Heidi
Moneymaker, and Aly Man.
John Wick: Chapter 2 opens in
theaters on February 10, 2017.
