This morning on The Ellen Show, Warner Bros. unveiled
what hides inside Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) briefcase with a brand new
full-length trailer for David Yates' upcoming Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic
Beasts and Where to Find Them.
In the film, the wizarding world’s top
magizoologist Newt Scamander stops in New York following his travels
to find, document, and protect rare and endangered magical creatures that he
stores in his magical briefcase. As you may expect the briefcase opens and some
of the creatures escape threatening not only the lives of New Yorkers but also
the balance between wizards and the No-Maj (American Muggles).
From a script written by J.K. Rowling, Fantastic
Beasts and Where to Find Them also stars Katherine Waterston, Samantha Morton, Dan
Fogler, Ezra Miller, Collin Farrell, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Faith
Wood-Blagrove.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in
theaters on November 18.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander
has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary
array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief
stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj
(American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of
some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the
wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
