Actress Sarah Grey is
on her way to join the second season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow airing on The
CW.
The iZombie and
upcoming Power Rangers movie actress will play Stargirl, a member of the
Justice Society of America superhero team, which also counts with Citizen Steel
(Nick Zano), Hourman (Patrick J. Adams), Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Commander
Steel (Matthew MacCaull), Obsidian, and Dr. Mid-Nite in its roster. The latter two have yet
to be cast.
Stargirl's crime
fighting prowess comes from the Cosmic Staff and Cosmic Converter Belt, which
grants the superheroine the ability to fly, as well as enhanced strength and
agility among other abilities.
In the new season,
the Justice Society of America will face-off against the Legion of Doom, which will
feature in its roster Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Malcolm Merlyn (John
Barrowman), Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
DC's Legends of
Tomorrow is not the venue in which Stargirl will make her live-action debut.
Britt Irvin played the character in several episodes of Smallville.
The second season of
Legends of Tomorrow premieres Thursday, October 13 at 8pm ET on The CW.
