Despite the delays, HBO's highly anticipated 10-episode remake of Michael
Crichton's 1973 sci-fi classic Westworld is definitely on its way and it looks like
it will be one of the major television series of the second half of the calendar.
The one-hour drama is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial
consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the
near future and the reimagined past, the series will explore a world in which
every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
Premiering this October on HBO, Westworld stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris,
Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa
Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon
Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan,
Clifton Collins Jr., and Luke Hemsworth.
