Disney and Lucasfilm
have been unsurprisingly mysterious and coy when discussing Gareth Edwards'
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but there is always tear that allow us to look behind
the curtain and for the first Star Wars standalone movie is its Official Visual
Story Guide.
A preview of the 164-page
companion book has appeared on the Edelweiss catalog and it offers some new
spoilery information regarding Edwards' film such as characters names and descriptions,
as well as new vehicles used by both factions and artwork.
Rebels:
- Felicity Jones plays Jyn Erso, a highly skilled soldier and warrior;
- Diego Luna plays Captain Cassian Andor, an officer in the Rebel Alliance;
- Riz Ahmed plays Bodhi, a rebel soldier;
- Alan Tudyk plays K-250, an Imperial enforcer/security droid who ends up fighting for the resistance;
- Donnie Yen plays Chirrut who is a spiritual warrior (Jedi?);
- Jieng Wen plays Baze, a freelance assassin;
- ??? and ??? play Pao and Bistan who are referred to as fierce alien warriors;
Empire:
- Ben Mendolsohn plays Director Krennic, an Empire Military Director who seems to be the main antoganist of the film.
