Rose Byrne Explains En Sabah Nur's Origins In First X-Men: Apocalypse Clip

Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne) introduces Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Alex Summers/Havok (Lucas Till) to the myth of En Sabah Nur, a.k.a. Apocalypse, the world's first mutant in this first clip for Bryan Singer's follow-up to Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse.

In the film, Professor X (James McAvoy), Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) and the X-Men find themselves in an all out war against a god-like mutant known has Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), who with the aid of his Four Horseman (Michael Fassbender, Olivia Munn, Ben Hardy, Alexandra Shipp) intends to wipe out humans from the face of the Earth and create a new world order.

Opening in theaters on May 27, X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Lana Candor, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Josh Helman, and Tómas Lemarquis.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
