After Dr. Seuss' The
Lorax back in 2012, Illumination Entertainment ("Minions", "Despicable
Me") has announced today that Sherlock and Marvel's Doctor Strange star
Benedict Cumberbatch will be lending his voice as the villain/hero in the
upcoming animated feature film, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Pete Candeland and The
Secret Life of Pets co-director Yarrow Cheney have signed on to direct the
animation, which counts with Seuss' widow Audrey Geisel as an executive
producer.
Dr. Seuss' How the
Grinch Stole Christmas has been set for a November 10, 2017 release.
