After the villain-centric poster that featured the titular villain and his Four Horsemen, 20th Century
Fox has now released a new poster for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, but this
time featuring those that will stand against the all-powerful mutant like Mystique
(Jennifer Lawrence), Professor Xavier (James McAvoy), Beast (Nicholas Hoult),
Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan),
and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee).
In X-Men: Apocalypse an
ancient and God-like mutant (Oscar Isaac) will try to cleanse humankind and
create a new world order, over which he will reign, and it is up to Professor
Xavier (McAvoy) and Mystique (Lawrence) to lead a new team of mutants into
battle over the survival of the planet.
Opening in theaters on May 27,
X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, Lana
Candor, Alexandra Shipp, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, Josh Helman, and Tómas
Lemarquis.
Since the dawn of
civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most
powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other
mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of
years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of
powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to
cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the
fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help
of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their
greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
