Back in January, a report came out revealing that
Amber Heard was in negotiations with Warner Bros. to play Mera the Queen of
Atlantis in DC Cinematic Universe starting with Justice League Part One and
then Aquaman opposite Jason Momoa as the titular hero.
Now, the 29-year-old actress has not only confirmed that she got the role but also went on to shortly describe the costume.
"It's interesting. It's like, half suit of armor,
half scales," Heard told Entertainment Tonight while promoting The Adderall Diaries.
"It's strange... We're in the process of building it now, so it's coming
along."
Justice League Part One opens in theaters on November 17,
2017, while Aquaman opens on July 27, 2018.
