After more than a decade away from this particular role, Vin Diesel is back as extreme spy Xander Cage in these behind-the-scenes pictures taken on the set of long lost sequel.
Directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia), xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will emulate the formula of the
Fast & Furious franchise by giving Diesel a team to count on.

Details on the sequel are virtually
non-existent, but we know that Diesel will count with an array of different
characters, each with its own special set of skills.
Bollywood superstar Deepika
Padukone will play the female lead opposite Diesel. Orange is the New Black's
Ruby Rose will play a sniper. Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev will play a witty
and sarcastic techie, and Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as NSA's Augustus
Gibbons.
Jet Li is also in the movie,
and he will play the
leader of a team that will face off against Diesel. Andrey Ivchenko (Freezer) will
play one of the villains in the sequel, but it's unclear if he sides with Li.
xXx: The Return of Xander Cage
doesn't have a release date yet.
