Illumination Entertainment has
released a funny new trailer for Yarrow Cheney and Chris Renaud's The Secret
Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or
school each day.
The new trailer clues us in on
more of the story, which seems reminds me of Disney's 1993 movie Homeward
Bound: The Incredible Journey.
In the movie, Max's (Louis C.K.) life is turned upside down when his owner Katie (Ellie Kemper), returns home with a new four-legged companion, a big dog named Duke (Eric Stonestreet).
Opening on July 8th, The
Secret Life of Pets also stars Kevin Hart, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan,
Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks. Illumination founder and CEO Chris
Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy produce the film directed
by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2), and Yarrow Cheney.
