It looks like Fish Mooney is not
dead after all!
The details are unclear, but Fox
has confirmed that Jada Pinkett Smith has signed on to reprise her Fish Mooney role
for multiple episodes of Gotham.
The last time any of us saw Mooney,
her former minion tuned crime boss the Penguin was pushing her into a watery
grave.
Mooney's return is a surprise
though showrunner Bruno Heller never confirmed the character's death and always
said not assume anything. Well I assumed.
TV Line broke the news and
they also tease that her return could be linked to Hugo Strange and the experiments
over at Indian Hills, but it's unclear if that is speculation on their part or if they heard
anything but can't divulge it right now.
Gotham returns Monday,
February 29.
