The results for the 2016 Golden
Globes awards are in and the big winner in the film department is The Revenant with three awards, followed
by Steve Jobs, and The Martian with two.
The Revenant won Best Director,
Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama, and Best Film -
Drama, while Jobs won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture -
Drama, and Best Screenplay, and The Martian being the pile of laughs that it
is, won Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical,
and Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical.
Sylvester Stallone won best
supporting actor in a drama for Creed, while Jennifer Lawrence won best actress
in a comedy or musical for Joy.
The big surprise was Brie
Larson's win in the best actress in a drama category, where Cate Blanchett was
the favorite to win.
In the TV department, Mr. Robot and Mozart in the
Jungle were the big winners with two awards each.
Denzel Washington won the
Cecil B. DeMille award for outstanding contributions to the world of
entertainment.
