From a Norse God in
Marvel's Cinematic Universe to a vampire in the little indie project, Only
Lovers Left Alive, Tom Hiddleston is using the opportunities that are coming
with the fame of starring in the MCU to grab hold of different and interesting
projects. In this case, the British actor has become country legend Hank
Williams for Marc Abraham's biopic about the famed singer.
The trailer is out
and it looks very reminiscent of other music biopics such as Ray or Walk the
Line.
I Saw The Light is the
second time Abraham's steps behind the camera. His previous film was Flash of
Genius starring Greg Kinnear, Lauren Graham, and Dermot Mulroney.
Abraham is a seasoned
producer with over twenty years of experience working in Hollywood. He has
produced plenty of known projects such as Spy Game, Dawn of the Dead, and
Children of Men.
I Saw the Light also
stars Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford, David Krumholtz, Cherry Jones, Maddie
Hasson, Wrenn Schmidt, and Josh Pais.
I Saw the Light opens
on March 25, 2016.
