Paramount Pictures has
released the first trailer for Crazy, Stupid, Love and Focus
directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's upcoming adaptation of Kim Barker's
memoir, The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The film follows a journalist (Tina Fey) who is sent to cover the war in Kabul and ends up
becoming "entrenched in a culture of adrenaline and
parties."
Along the way, Fey's character meets a British TV correspondent played by
Margot Robbie, a General played by Billy Bob Thornton, an Afghan fixer played
by Christopher Abbot, a local official with a crush on her played by Alfred
Molina, and a Scottish war photographer played by Martin Freeman.
30 Rock co-showrunner Robert Carlock penned the adaptation, which will hit
theaters on March 4, 2016.
