20th Century Fox has released
two new images from their first, and hopefully not the last, R rated superhero
movie, Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds as the
titular anti-hero.
The first image is of Ryan
Reynolds as Wade Wilson laying next to Ed Skrein, who plays Ajax, and Gina
Carano, who plays Angel Dust, before being subjected to the experiment that
gives him his accelerated healing powers,
In the second image, Reynolds has
already become Deadpool and is seen talking with the movie's director, Tim
Miller.
Opening on February 12, 2016,
Deadpool also stars Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, aka Copycat,
Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, T.J.
Miller as Weasel, Andre Tricoteux as Colossus, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most
unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special
Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a
rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the
alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of
humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
