Disney has released a
short teaser for Alice Through the Looking Glass, the sequel to their 2010 smash
hit, Alice in Wonderland, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.
James Robin (The
Muppets) is directing the sequel from a script penned by Linda Woolverton, who also
wrote the screenplay for the first movie.
Mia Wasikowska (seen
in the teaser), Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael
Sheen, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Timothy Spall, and Matt Lucas are all
reprising their characters from the first movie.
Alice Through the
Looking Glass opens on May 27, 2016.
Andrew Scott, Sacha
Baron Cohen, Ed Speleers, Toby Jones, and Rhys Ifans have joined the franchise
as Addison Bennett, Time, James Harcourt, Wilkins, and Zanik Hightopp (Mad
Hatter's father), respectively.
