Earlier this year it we reported that Ryan Gosling was
in talks to join Harrison Ford in the upcoming sequel to Ridley Scott's '80s
sci-fi movie, Blade Runner.
Now that a director (Denis Villeneuve) and cinematographer
(Roger Deakins) have been found, Gosling confirms that he has join the
production, which has been scheduled to begin in 2016.
Besides confirming the casting, the actor was reserved
with details, however he did reveal that having Villeneuve directing
and Deakins doing the photography encouraged him to sign on. The script factor
in the decision, but "there’s
a chip in me and if I say anything more I’ll explode if I say anything else,"
the actor joked before confirming that Blade Runner 2 will be his next film.
