We know that David Lynch and Mark Frost are trying their best to keep information from their new Twin Peaks season from leaking out, but that does not mean that it doesn't occasionally seep to the trades.
According to Empire, Jennifer Jason Leigh has joined
the 18-epsisode series, though the particulars regarding her character are,
like plot details, being kept under wraps.
Leigh joins returning cast members Kyle MacLachlan,
Ray Wise, Sheryl Lee, and Sherilyn Fenn, as well as newcomers Amanda Seyfried,
Robert Knepper, and Balthazar Getty.
Deadline reports that Lynch has been looking at more
actors to join the series, including Naomi Watts, who had her breakout moment in
Lynch's Mulholland Drive.
Currently in production, Twin Peaks is expected to
premiere on Showtime sometime in 2017.
