It's no secret that Mission:
Impossible star and producer, Tom Cruise always made a point of changing things
behind the camera for every installment, thus diversifying the franchise, however
McQuarrie and Cruise have known each other for awhile now and seem to work well
together. Plus the franchise has finally found its groove, and changing things
now by introducing a new director with a different vision would probably be
prejudicial.
Rebecca Ferguson is
also expected to return and reprise her role as Ilsa Faust, but its unclear if
she will.
