Famed actor Kurtwood Smith has joined the second
season of ABC's Marvel's Agent Carter in a recurring role that will reunite him
with his Resurrection showrunners, Tara Butters and Michaele Fazekas.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith will play
"Vernon Masters, a veteran of the War Department with a keen understanding
of how to work the system." Whether he will be a foe to Hayley Atwell's
Agent Carter remains to be seen.
Smith is also known for his roles on Robocop, 21 Jump
Street (TV), Rambo III, Dead Poets Society, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered
Country, A Time To Kill, Star Trek's Deep Space Nine and Voyager, Deep Impact,
Girl Interrupted, Batman Beyond, Justice League, That '70s Show, Medium, 24, and
Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
Marvel's Agent Carter returns in 2016.
