AMC has released the
first teaser for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's upcoming adaptation of Garth
Ennis and Steve Dillon's '90s Vertigo Comics series, Preacher.
Preacher
stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer the titular preacher of the
series, who merges with a creature that has fallen from heaven and gives him
the ability to make everyone do anything he says. Armed with this heavenly
power, Custer, his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named
Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), embark on a journey to find God and ask him why he has
forsaken the World.
Premiering in May, 2016 on
AMC, Preacher also stars, Ian Colletti (Arseface), Elizabeth Perkins (Vyla
Quinncannon), Lucy Griffiths (Emily), W. Earl Brown (Sheriff Hugo Root), Jamie
Anne Allman (Betsy Schenck), Derek Wilson (Donny Schenck), and Tom Brooke (Fiore).
