With the more
grounded and darker Daredevil Netflix series, Marvel created an offshoot of
their cinematic universe, which they will use to introduce street level superheroes,
villains, and problems that otherwise wouldn't fit into the cosmic battle the
film branch is about to punch their way through. In a couple of months the
studio will further develop this new creation with Jessica Jones, starring
Krysten Ritter as the titular character, a former superhero turned private
detective.
A set of new images
from the second Netflix series have become available and besides Ritter they also feature
Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Zebediah Killgrave, aka The Purple Man,
Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper, and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker.
Also starring Eka Darville, Erin
Moriarty, Susie Abromeit, and Wil Traval, Jessica Jones will
launch on Netflix on November 20.
After a tragic ending
to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal
life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.
