The force has
awakened and has uttered some hints or possible spoilers regarding J.J. Abrams'
Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Last night the Disney Store was picked clean of
its contents by fans desperately trying to get the latest products in the new line
of Star Wars toys, memorabilia, and collectibles.
Among all the
die-cast, Sphero's BB-8, Black Series, and so on, was a talking action figure of
the mysterious villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), who may have "inadvertently"
offered a couple of possible spoilers.
Ok so it's more of a
teasing that an actual spoiler, but it is interesting how in just a few short
lines of dialogue we realize that Kylo is trying to recruit someone (Finn or
Rey I assume) to the dark side so together they can rule the galaxy as
father and son destroy the resistance, and kill the last remaining Jedi,
who I presume is Luke (Mark Hamill). This last part seems to indicate that no,
Luke hasn't created a new Jedi Order since the events of Return of the Jedi.
Furthermore it seems
that Kylo knows who Rey (Daisy Ridley) is, and is disappointed with she being a
scavenger. This adds fuel to fire that the two are brother and sister.
Finally Kylo does
seem to be looking for artifacts (like rumored), as he is heard apparently talking
to Finn (John Boyega) about the lightsaber he is wielding.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
opens on December 18.
