
Keeping with the same marketing strategy that they
used for previous installments in the franchise, Lionsgate has released a big
banner for Francis Lawrence's last
chapter in The Hunger Games franchise, Mockingjay - Part 2. The image features Finnick
(Sam Claflin), Boggs (Mahershala Ali), Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Cressida (Natalie
Dormer), Massalla (Evan Ross), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Castor (Wes Chatham),
and Pollux (Elden Henson) standing in a pile of rubble from a crumbling monument
to President Snow (Donald Sutherland) while Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) stands
on top of the toppled statue.
Based on author Suzanne Collins series of YA novels, Mockingjay
- Part 2, sees Katniss and a select group of friends, infiltrate Panem to
assassinate the diabolical President Snow, who has become increasingly obsessed
with destroying her.
Coming out on November 20th, The Hunger Games:
Mockingjay - Part 2 also stars Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth
Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Jena
Malone, Stanley Tucci, and Julianne Moore.
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss
confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with
a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam
Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the
unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination
attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying
her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will
challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
