MTV has released the first official
trailer for their upcoming adaptation of Terry Brook's Shannara novel series.
Set in our
world, but thousands of years after the destruction of civilization, the
upcoming series is centered on the Shannara family, whose descendants are
empowered with ancient magic and whose adventures continuously reshape
earth’s future.
Starring Manu Bennett, Austin
Butler, Ivana Baquero, Poppy Drayton, Aaron Jakubenko, John Rhys-Davies, Brooke
Williams, Marcus Vanco, and Daniel MacPherson, The Shannara Chronicles
premieres in January 2016.
Coming to MTV in January 2016, ‘The Shannara
Chronicles’ is a new TV series based on the best-selling fantasy novels by
Terry Brooks. Set thousands of years after the destruction of our civilization,
the story follows an Elven Princess, Amberle, a half-human half-elf, Wil, and a
human, Eretria, as they embark on a quest to stop a Demon army from destroying
the Four Lands.
