Chronicle and Fruitvale Station actor, Michael B. Jordan is in talks to
star in the upcoming adaptation of Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller's Dark Horse
comic series, Blood Brothers.
Described has having a similar tone to Lethal
Weapon and Rush Hour, the action comedy follows Nick and Tree, two
vampires who have smoked opium with Genghis Khan, had orgies in Michelangelo’s
studio, and even fronted a death metal band. But after a century of friendship,
these inseparable vampire buddies are on the verge of splitting up. Terrible
timing, as an apocalypse-obsessed villain is plotting an end to humanity.
Should Jordan sign the dotted
line, Blood Brothers will become the second live action comic book adaptation for
the talented actor after the less than satisfactory Fantastic Four.
Tropic Thunder and Men In Black 3 screenwriter Etan Cohen was recently
tapped to pen the script for the adaptation after Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow
and Derek Connolly took a shot at it.
