I have to
confess that I haven't read any of James Dashner's The Maze Runner novels, so
while watching the first movie in the franchise my jaw sort of dropped when the I heard that sun flares not only scorched
the Earth but also "infected" people with something called the Flare
virus. I just nodded my head from side to side in disbelief and asked, How can
Sun flares give someone a virus?
Well, to
educate people and me on the so called "virus", 20th Century Fox has
released a PSA (public service announcement) briefly explaining how the Flare
virus came to be, what are its symptoms, and how you should proceed if you have
them.
It's a fun
little promotional video for the second installment in the franchise, Maze
Runner: The Scorch Trials, which opens on September 18, and stars Dylan O’Brien, Thomas
Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Giancarlo Esposito, Ki Hong
Lee, Rosa Salazar and Jacob Lofland.
In this next chapter
of the epic “Maze Runner” saga, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers
face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and
powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a
desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with
resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and
uncover its shocking plans for them all.
