Martin Scorsese And Leonardo DiCaprio Team-Up For World's Fair Serial Killer Movie

After five previous collaborations, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are teaming-up once again. This time the duo are set to bring author Erick Larson's The Devil In The White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America to the big screen. The non-fiction book details the horrific events that transpire during the 1983 Chicago World's Fair, where H.H. Holmes murdered an estimated 27 to 200 people.

Deadline reports that after a fierce battle with five other studios, Paramount Pictures was finally able to acquire the rights to Larson's gruesome details of America's first serial killer and his murder castle, which included a gas chamber, a crematorium, and a dissecting table.

Oscar nominated screenwriter Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) has been working on the adaptation for a while now, but only recently did he managed to crack the dynamic between the producer and architect of the World's Fair and the man who worked for him, Holmes, who will be portrayed in the film by DiCaprio.
