Frank Grillo is in
final negotiations to reprise his role from The Purge: Anarchy in the upcoming
third film of the action/horror franchise.
The franchise takes
place in a future where once a year all crime becomes legal for a 12-hour
period, better known as the Purge. In Anarchy, Grillo played Sergeant, a man
out for revenge during the Purge, but who ends up having to protect a group of
helpless strangers that have become stranded in the dangerous streets without a
safe place to go to.
We should be hearing
confirmation of Grillo's involvement in the sequel sooner rather than later if
the film is to hit the planned July 1st, 2016 release date.
