That's right! The trio of conspiracy theorists known
as The Lone Gunmen is coming back for the upcoming 6-episode event series,
though at this time it's unclear how exactly that will happen. since, and
spoiler alert, they died at the end of the X-Files series, however, the event
series could continue off the comics in which it was revealed that John
Fitzgerald Byers (Bruce Harwood), Melvin Frohike (Tom Braidwood), and Ringo (Dean
Haglund) actually faked their deaths.

The gang had their own spinoff series back in 2001
titled The Lone Gunmen, which garnered mostly positive reviews, but unfortunately,
that wasn't enough and Fox pulled the plug.
The X-Files returns on January 24, 2016.
