Fox has announced that Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under, Dig), and Robbie
Amell (The Flash, The Duff) have joined the X-Files sequel, which picks up
thirteen years after the original show ended.
Amell will play Agent Miller, a smart and smooth FBI agent, while Ambrose has
been tasked in bringing the sharp and confident Agent Einstein to life.
Both actors join returning original cast members David Duchovny
as Fox Mulder, Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, Mitch Pileggi as Skinner, and
William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man, as well as the recent additions,
Joel McHale as
Ted O'Malley, a conservative news anchor that asks Mulder for help, and Annet
Mahendru as Svet, a woman claiming that aliens abduct her regularly.
The X-Files premieres on January 24,
2016.
