MTV has released a first look video for their upcoming adaptation of Terry
Brook's Shannara novel series, featuring executive producer Jon Favreau,
the author, and cast and crew.
Set in our world, but thousands of years after the
destruction of civilization, the upcoming series is centered on the Shannara
family, whose descendants are empowered with ancient magic and whose adventures
continuously reshape earth’s future.
Starring Manu Bennett, Austin Butler, Ivana Baquero, Poppy Drayton, Aaron
Jakubenko, John Rhys-Davies, Brooke Williams, Marcus Vanco, and Daniel
MacPherson, The Shannara Chronicles premieres in January.
