With Guardians of the Galaxy proving that audiences worldwide
will flock to theaters to see what else is new in Marvel's Cinematic Universe,
a sequel was quickly announced. Opening on May 5, 2017, the only things we know
about Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is that it will be "more emotional"
and will dig deeper into Star Lord's family tree.
Now however, while explaining the shooting schedule
for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 during the recent press junket for Ant-Man, Marvel
Studios President Kevin Feige has apparently revealed the title for James
Gunn's sequel.
"We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume
2 in
February-March 2016."
It remains to be seen if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2
is the official title, but it certainly flows nicely with the franchise.
