With the trailer coming
out shortly, Universal Pictures has released a three new images from Baltasar
Kormákur's (2 Guns) upcoming survival drama, Everest. Based on a true story,
Everest is set in 1996 and follows two groups of climbers trying to reach the
peak of Mount Everest, but when one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered
by mankind hits them a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for
survival.
Shot in Nepal and in
the Italian Alps, Everest stars Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes and Jake
Gyllenhaal. They are joined by Martin Henderson, Emily Watson, Michael
Kelly and Thomas M. Wright.
Everest opens in 2D,
3D, and IMAX 3D on September 18th.
