Just over a month
ago, co-writer and star Simon Pegg let slip the title for the third installment
in the Star Trek franchise. However, because it was never officially confirmed
by anyone not even Pegg, I assumed that it was either a working title, or just
the actor teasing that the threequel will finally launch the Enterprise into
space and have it stay there.
No, Star Trek Beyond
is definitely the title, and to officially announce it, director Justin Lin has
shared our first look at the anticipated sequel, which will hit theaters on
July 8, 2016.
