With The Hunger Games
franchise concluding this year, and with The Divergent Series clearly hanging
by a thread, Lionsgate is looking at the masters of illusionism in Now You See
Me as their next big franchise.
With the first film
proving to be a box-office success making $350+ on a $75 million production, and
a sequel on the way, Lionsgate as announced that they in the early stages of development
on the third installment.
According to Variety,
Lionsgate's CEO Jon Feltheimer told analysts at a recent conference call to
discuss quarterly earnings that "We've already begun early planning for
Now You See Me 3."
Of course this all
hinges on the success of the upcoming second film titled Now You See Me: The
Second Act, which will see the return of Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse
Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Michael Caine, and the addition of Lizzy Caplan, and
Daniel Radcliffe.

10, 2016.
