You got to hand it over to the Wachowski brothers,
good or bad they never aim low, even if at times the result is a convoluted narrative
that fails to make any discernible sense.
Netflix has just released the first trailer for the brothers'
12-episode series Sense8, which follows eight characters who become linked and
end up sharing all their knowledge, talents, secrets and much more.
I'm definitely intrigued, but I just hope Sense8 won't
turn out to be a very cool idea that's poorly executed though visually stunning
(I'm looking at you Jupiter Ascending).
Sense8 hits the online platform on June 5th, and stars
Naveen Andrews, Daryl Hannah, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence
Middleton, Jamie
Clayton, Miguel
Angel Silvestre, Tina
Desai, Doona
Bae, Aml
Ameen, and Max Riemelt.
From the unparalleled creative minds of The
Wachowskis (“The Matrix” trilogy, “Cloud Atlas”) and J. Michael Straczynski
(Clint Eastwood’s “Changeling,” ”World War Z”), as well as Grant Hill (“The
Matrix” trilogy, “Cloud Atlas”), Sense8 is a gripping story of eight people
from around the world whose lives are suddenly and inexplicably connected in a
fight for their own survival.
