Ryan Gosling In Talks To Star In Blade Runner Sequel

Ryan Gosling is in talks to join Harrison Ford in director Denis Villeneuve's (Prisoners) sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic, Blade Runner. Scott, who directed the adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, is onboard as an executive producer.

The actor is also in talks to join Guillermo del Toro's Haunted Mansion, and he is circling a role opposite Emma Stone in director Damien Chazelle's La La Land. Meanwhile Gosling will next be seen in Shane Black's The Nice Guys opposite Russell Crowe, in Terrence Malick's Weightless, and in Adam McKay's The Big Short, which is currently in production and also stars Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Melissa Leo, and Finn Wittrock.

The Blade Runner sequel, which was written by Hampton Fancher, who co-wrote the first film, and Michael Green, is set to begin production in the summer of 2016.
