Ryan
Gosling is in talks to join Harrison Ford in director Denis Villeneuve's (Prisoners)
sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic, Blade Runner. Scott, who directed
the adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep,
is onboard as an executive producer.
The
actor is also in talks to join Guillermo del Toro's Haunted Mansion, and he is
circling a role opposite Emma Stone in director Damien Chazelle's La La Land.
Meanwhile Gosling will next be seen in Shane Black's The Nice Guys opposite
Russell Crowe, in Terrence Malick's Weightless, and in Adam McKay's The Big
Short, which is currently in production and also stars Brad Pitt, Christian
Bale, Steve Carell, Melissa Leo, and Finn Wittrock.
The
Blade Runner sequel, which was written by Hampton Fancher, who co-wrote the
first film, and Michael Green, is set to begin production in the summer of
2016.
