A sequel to Matthew Vaughn's
adaptation of Mark Millar's graphic novel series The Secret Service is
currently in development at Fox Studios.
Kingsman: The Secret Service just
grossed over $400 million at the global box-office, but it was made clear when the film opened to $41
million that the studio had a potential franchise on their hands.
Fox has yet to confirm or deny a sequel is being
prepped, but according to The Wrap, individuals close to it confirm its existence.
Millar never wrote a sequel
the graphic novel, so it's unknown where our superspies might go next. What is also unknown is if
Vaughn will return, or if will let someone else tackle the sequel like he did
with Kick-Ass 2, since he has a couple of other projects he is currently
working on, the Flash Gordon reboot, and The Golden Age, which is about
superheroes in a retirement home.
