IDW and DC Comics
have announced that the crew of the Enterprise and the Green Lantern Corp.,
more specifically a 23rd Century Hal Jordan will meet in an upcoming six-part crossover
event titled Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War, which is scheduled to
hit stores in July. The miniseries is being written by Mike Johnson, while
Angel Hernandez is providing the art.
“Green Lantern is one
of the most popular, storied characters in the history of comic books and a
modern DC Comics icon," said Bob Harras, Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics.
"An entire universe of Green Lanterns and other supporting characters have
grown out from his original adventures in the 1940’s, and this series really
showcases the intergalactic scope of the franchise."
