Nicholas Gonzalez (Sleepy
Hollow), Rachael Harris (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), D.B. Woodside (24) have landed
series regular roles in Fox's upcoming Lucifer pilot.
According to
Deadline, Gonzalez is playing Dan, "a gruff LAPD homicide detective, who
is wary of Lucifer's involvement with his wife and daughter". Harris is
playing Linda, "a therapist Lucifer initially encounters when working with
Chloe to solve a case", and Woodside is playing Amenadiel, "an angel
sent to Los Angeles to persuade Lucifer to return to Hell".
The three additions
join Tom Ellis as the titular Lucifer, Lina Esco as Maze/Mazikeen, and Lauren
German as Chloe Dancer in the pilot that will be directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld),
who will also executive produce alongside Tom Kapinos, Jerry Bruckheimer, and
Jonathan Littman.
Originally the
series' logline was similar to the one from the comics, where growing tired of
his hellish responsibilities, Lucifer relocates to LA where he opens a piano
bar called Lux. Now however it seems that the series has deviated slightly from
its source material, and has turned into a police procedural, with Lucifer
helping the LAPD punishing the criminals.
