So far official
details regarding Zack Snyder's follow-up to Man of Steel, Batman v Superman:
Dawn of Justice have been few and far between. We know that besides the titular
characters and returning cast, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Lex Luthor
will be seminal to the plot of DC's Cinematic Universe in one way or another.
Entertainment Weekly
has unveiled the first official image of Batman v Superman main baddie in the
form of Jesse Eisenberg. The Academy Award nominated actor is playing Lex
Luthor and will probably be, like in so many other iterations, a thorn on
Superman's side, however "he’s not any of
the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure," says Snyder, "other
than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another
person to himself. And bald, of course."
Snyder
also adds that "our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake. He says what he
believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and
decipher what he means, it’s all there."
Opening on March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of
Justice also stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg,
Jeremy Irons, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Callan
Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Ray Fisher, and Jason Momoa.
