Marvel Comics: First Look At Infinity Gauntlet #1 & New Hero

We already knew that Infinity Gauntlet was coming to Marvel's Secret Wars event, now however we have our first look at the reimagined storyline by Gerry Duggan and Dustin Weaver, as well as the first details on the story, how it differs from Jim Starlin's original series, and more.

According to Hero Complex, this Infinity Gauntlet will chronicle the live of Anwen Bakian, a young woman who survives with her grandfather, father, and sister in a post-apocalyptical and insect filled wasteland, and that one-day discovers a mysterious stone cosmic power.

As with all reinterpretations there are some changes. "The difference here is that this version of the Mad Titan is a little bit more mysterious…and our heroes don’t know to fear the name Thanos," said Duggan, while Weaver adds that he is "a more grizzled version of the character; he caries the weight of his experiences. He’s colder, more mysterious, and impenetrable. But you can be certain, some things about Thanos will never change."

Infinity Gauntlet #1 hits the shelves in May.
