After two not so successful movies (Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas), is the fate
of the Wachowski brothers hanging by a thread called Jupiter Ascending? Well we
have two wait for this Friday to see if people are flocking into the theaters
to catch their latest sci-fi or if they prefer some fantasy instead and go see The
Seventh Son starring Jeff Bridges, and Julianne Moore. Either way it will have
some heavy competition ahead with the premiere of the Kingsman: The Secret
Service, and Fifty Shades of Grey scheduled for the next weekend, February 13.
Starring Oscar nominee Eddy Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Channing
Tatum, and Mila Kunis, Jupiter
Ascending "tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Kunis), who was born under a
night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things. Now grown,
Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning
other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine
(Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track
her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her
all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary
inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos."
Jupiter Ascending also stars Sean Bean, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton,
James D’Arcy, Tim Pigott-Smith, and Doona Bae.
