Although some 80's
classics such as G.I. Joe or Transformers have been able to reproduce their
initial success in recent big screen adaptations, Master of the Universe has
not, however a big screen adaptation of the property was being developed with G.I.
Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu at the helm of the origin story. Chu is no
longer attached to the project but Columbia Pictures continued with the
development and brought in Kick-Ass 2 screenwriter and director Jeff Wadlow to
write the script.
Now in a recent Tweet,
Columbia's Senior Vice-President DeVon Franklin offers and update in the form
of the front cover of the latest draft.

That I know Masters of
the Universe is still one director short so perhaps given Wadlow's continue attachment
to the project and the fact that he has directing experience, might he be a
candidate for the job?
Well if he is, then
his X-Force project over at FOX might get the back-seat with Masters jumping in
front, what do you think?
